‘Sankalp’ the enlightening and mesmerizing Cultural cum Prize Distribution Function of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar was celebrated with a message of peace, goodwill, emancipation of women, non-violence, national integration and benevolence. The chief guest Sh. R.J. Khanderao, Regional officer CBSE, Panchkula and Guest of Honour, BVM alumnus, Dr. Vivek Kumar Aggarwal were offered floral welcome by the Secretary BVM Trust Sh. K.C. Maini Ji, Manager – BVM (USN) Sh. O.P. Sabharwal Ji, Sh. R.K Gupta Ji, Sh. M.M. Bamba Ji, Sh. R.K. Behal Ji, Sh. P.C.Goyal Ji and the Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi. The spectacular show commenced with divine Ganesh Vandana and was followed by a sprightly dance performance ‘KIDS ZONE’.
‘HUM SE HAI DUM’ highlighted the importance of sports. Soul touching Bhajan ‘SAB MEIN OM SAMAYA’ gave a holy dip to the audience. The star performance a choreography ‘ Bas….. Ab Aur Nahin’ highlighting the suppression and crime against women and their revolt touched every soul. English Play ‘Glimpses into the World of Stars’ was an inspiring peep into the life of Sh. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Ardent performers of Garba and bubbling Rockstars of Robot Dance set the stage ablaze with their fiery performance. The meritorious students and their parents were honoured with shiny trophies for their brilliant performance in academics by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. They also commended the untiring efforts of the management, principal, teachers and students for taking the institution to new pinnacles of success and glory. Mementoes were presented to the guests as a token of remembrance. The vote of thanks was proposed by Sh. O.P. Sabharwal Ji and the function came to a happy close with thunderous performance of Virasat – e – Punjab, bhangra which followed the Vande Matram.
