Under 13 boys and girls Open District Chess Championship cum State Prize money open Chess Championship on 27th and 28th Jan, 2017 was held at Daresi Ludhiana organized by Ludhiana District Chess Association. 4 students from BVM Udham Singh Nagar participated in this championship.
In Girls section Deepti Sharma (VII) participated and won first position in Ludhiana District and second position in State prize money championship and was honoured with cash prize of Rs.1000/- trophies and certificate. In boys section Ansh (V), Bisman (V) and Daman (V) participated.
Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi congratulated the players and appreciated the efforts of Physical Education Department.
