Realization of the vision of ancient India, the goal set by our honorable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi ‘Sarve Santu Niramaya’ was the intention of celebrating 5th International Yoga Day today. Under the able guidance of the BVM Trust, Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi, teachers, students and parents collectively participated in the yogic practices in the school premises under the expert directives of Yoga Guru and Naturopath Dr. R. Following the CBSE Common Yoga Protocol ‘Yoga for Harmony and Peace’ the essence of the event was to bring harmony between mind & body, thought & action, man & nature and to orient one towards comprehensive health of individuals as well as the community.
Beginning with the prayer, the tranquil session advanced with subtle yogic kiriyas such as neck bending, trunk movement, knee movement and various yogasans such as Tādāsana ,Vṛikṣāsana ,Pāda-Hastāsana, Ardha C̣akrāsana, Trikoṇāsana, Bhadrāsana ,Ardha Uṣṭrāsana ,Sasānkāsana, Vakrāsana, Bhadraasana, Bhujangasana, Salabhasana, Makarasana and Pranayama kiriyas like Kapalabhati, Anuloma-Viloma & Bhramari.
It was an invigorating experience by all the participants as they discovered the sense of oneness with the mother nature and exhibited their commitment through ‘Sankalpa’ to fulfill the dream of ‘Swastha Bharat’ by adopting a healthy lifestyle through ‘Yoga’ and by creating consciousness among masses for their holistic wellbeing i.e. of body, mind and soul. The event culminated with ‘Santih Patha’.
