The jovial festival of Teej was celebrated with glee and euphoria by the students of BVM, USN. An array of funfilled activities were planned in such a manner that students felt refreshed amidst lockdown. Clad in punjabi attires, the gorgeous girls of 1st to 8th class along with their mothers danced to the tunes of traditional punjabi songs and enthralled everyone by their captivating videos. The verve and vivacity exhibited by the students of VI and VII in bangle decorating activity was really perceivable.Creative blooming artists of VIII and IX showcased their designing and artistic skills while applying mehndi. Young students of Class X presented their creativity in the most exquisite manner while designing jewellery from the the best out of waste household products. The BVMites transformed a part of their house in punjabi culture and portrayed their artistic perception. The students along with their parents savoured delectable food items like homemade kheer, malpuras, pakoras etc and shared their pictures in their respective class groups. Addressing the students online, Mrs Lalita Arora (Coordinator) apprised students of the importance of this festival and mentioned that Teej is a festival which marks the advent of monsoon. She further added that the school aims at promoting the culture through organising such festivals and events so that our national and cultural values may remain supreme on the globe.
Principal, Bandana Sethi lauded collaborative and strenuous efforts of students, parents and teachers. She also blessed the students to blossom at their best and preserve our rich cultural heritage. Overall it was a joyful and sanctimonious event.
