'Reading promotes literacy and keeps mind stimulated'
BVM USN Rhetoric Club celebrated National Reading Day today in honour of the father of the Library Movement, Sh P.N. Panicker ,with a motive to project the importance of reading and inculcate this good habit among younger generation. The month-long celebration commenced with a spark as the members of 'Rhetoric Club' immersed themselves in a plethora of virtual activities proving the dictum Reading maketh a full man. Brilliant saplings of KG and class II were keen participants of ' Phonic Sounds and Flip Comprehension ' activity. Scholars of class IV took a pledge to make reading an integral part of their daily routine. Young story- tellers of class VII expressed themselves creatively through lively interpretation of the stories. Budding anchors of IX showcased their skills and confidence in news reading with clear articulation and correct accentuation where as the young poets of class XI exhibited their poetic skills with perfect expression, emotion, rhythm and rhyme. Mrs Rasdip Kaur (PRT English) conducted an enlightening webinar for the students alongwith their parents delving upon umpteen benefits of reading for holistic growth of kids . Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal appreciated the efforts of Bvmites and encouraged them to hone their literary skills and come forward to exhibit it whole-heartedly.
