The harvest festival of Punjab, Lohri was celebrated with much exuberance and fanfare at BVM USN. An array of activities was organized to ignite the aesthetic ablaze of Bhartiyans and to promote our rich culture. The jovial toddlers of Class I to IV put their artists acumen on display and came up with dazzling designs in kite making , Card making and Thali decorating activities. Students of class V and VI had a gala time with family while singing melodious festival songs which were shared in the class groups. Soaking in the spirit of festivity students of VII and VIII created Lohri scene in the form of Tableaux virtually . Bodacious Bhartiyans of IX and X well depicted the significance of Punjab's folklore by preparing charts and documentaries. Ms Jasvir Kaur (PRT Punjabi) dwelled on the importance and reasons behind celebrating Lohri. She added that this festival ushers in the cheerful spring season bidding adieu to the dull winter. Principal, Mrs Ranju Mangal conveyed best wishes to the entire BVM family and exhorted the students to keep their tradition and rich culture alive by celebrating the festival in true spirit.She also advised students not to use Chinese string while flying kites.
