About School

Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, U.S.N, a co-educational institution founded in 1971 sprawls over 7845 sq. yards, initially affiliated to P.S.E.B. Mohali from 1970-2012, affiliated to CBSE in 2013, follows a broad and balanced curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular activities to develop confidence , skills, and effective learning among the students not only in academics but also in their wider life. Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, a unique blend of Bhartiya Sanskriti and modern techno-knowledge believes in all round development of the child. By touching the tender hearts to explore their latent qualities and capabilities, providing them a canvas to paint a sparkling rainbow with the colour of their dreams, but still attach their roots. The school believes in empowering the children guiding them to carve out a niche for themselves in today’s competitive world. Founder members of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Trust in 1968, resolved to take up the cause of education as a mission and stepped forward to shoulder the responsibility of educating the masses and spreading the awareness in resurgence of India in the post independence era. A seed was planted by the Trust at the Malerkotla House (Cemetery Road), grew up successfully by leaps and bounds with its deep rooting in the great human values of Indian culture and heritage. The school got affiliated with P.S.E.B, Mohali in 1977. The school got switched over from the state Board to CBSE in year 2013.

III to XII            —     7:55 am to 11:00 am

As per the directives  of State Administration, the school will remain closed from 24th to 26th August ,2023. 
There will be online classes for all three days. (Thursday to Saturday)

 
AUG 17 , 2023
The school is going to conduct PTM on Saturday ie.19-08-2023 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am for classes PN to XII 
 
All Staff members are hereby instructed to come in school dress code and wear  I-cards.
*All the class incharges to divide the number of students in three slots according to class roll numbers.
*Tentative date (11th September) for Term -1 to be shared with parents.
*Date Sheet will be shared soon.
Syllabus of Term-1  and pattern of question paper to be discussed with parents so they can guide their ward in preparation of exams.

* Parents  identitycard/yellow cards will be mandatory.
* Students will come in proper school uniform.

Subject: Eye Flu Prevention Measures 
We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. As you are aware the cases of eye flu are increasing in the school community and everywhere . Eye flu or conjunctivitis, is a contagious eye infection that can spread rapidly among children and adults. To ensure the well-being of our students and to check the spread of this infection, we seek your kind cooperation in guiding your ward/s to follow the preventive measures outlined below:

1. Avoid touching eyes unnecessarily, as this can increase the risk of infection.
2. Encourage your ward to wash his/her hands frequently with soap and water for at least   
    20 seconds, particularly before and after touching eyes or face.
3. Teach your ward to cover his/her mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow when coughing
    or sneezing to prevent the spread of infection.
4. Discourage the sharing of personal items such as towels and handkerchiefs to minimize
    the risk of contamination.
5. Ensure that your ward stays home if he/she displays symptoms of eye flu, such as
    redness, itching, discharge etc. and consult a doctor promptly.
6. Clean the frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, countertops and toys with a
    suitable disinfectant to reduce the risk of transmission.
6. Communicate with the School. 
    Avoid sending child to the school if he/she is suffering from flu.

As per State Government directives, offline classes will resume in the school from 17th July 2023. Students are required to report as per the regular summer  School timings .   
 
JULY 13 , 2023
As per the government orders  due to prevailing adverse climatic conditions school will remain closed till 16/07/2023. Online classes will be conducted according to the time table shared earlier.
 
JULY 10 , 2023
As per the Government orders due to inclement weather conditions  school will remain closed  till 13.07.3023. Online classes will be conducted these  days to avoid study loss of the students.
Timings for Online classes will be 9 a.m to 12.40 p.m.

It is to inform you all that as per Orders by Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana Schools will remain closed on 10-07-2023 due to the Weather Forecast.
