About School

Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, U.S.N, a co-educational institution founded in 1971 sprawls over 7845 sq. yards, initially affiliated to P.S.E.B. Mohali from 1970-2012, affiliated to CBSE in 2013, follows a broad and balanced curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular activities to develop confidence , skills, and effective learning among the students not only in academics but also in their wider life. Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, a unique blend of Bhartiya Sanskriti and modern techno-knowledge believes in all round development of the child. Founder members of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Trust in 1968, resolved to take up the cause of education as a mission and stepped forward to shoulder the responsibility of educating the masses and spreading the awareness in resurgence of India in the post independence era. A seed was planted by the Trust at the Malerkotla House (Cemetery Road), grew up successfully by leaps and bounds with its deep rooting in the great human values of Indian culture and heritage. The school got affiliated with P.S.E.B, Mohali in 1977. The school got switched over from the state Board to CBSE in year 2013.

As per notification by the Punjab Govt. School timings are  being  changed  w.e.f. 02/05/2022 as per the following schedule:-

1.  Nur to V        -   7:25a.m. to 11:30 a.m

2.  VI to X & XII  -   7:25a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

3.  Pre Nur         -   8:30 a.m.to 11:30 a.m

As our school is Exam Centre for CBSE Term II Examination  from 26th April, 2022 till 15th June,  2022.  As per CBSE guidelines,  the school infrastructure and staff will be engaged in various duties for the smooth conduction of exams. Therefore, there will be a holiday on  27 th April ,22 i.e. tomorrow for classes I, II  and  XII .

APRIL 15 , 2022
 
There will be an In person Parent Teacher Meeting (offline mode)in the school premises on 16th April 2022 for classes I to X and XII.
Timings will be 9am to 11am
Venue for the meeting will be respective classrooms.
 
APRIL 12 , 2022

The school will remain closed on 13-04-2022 and 14-04-2022 on account of Baisakhi and Mahavir Jayanti respectively.
 
APRIL 1 , 2022
 
On the occasion of 'Nav Samvat' (2/04/22) the auspicious Hawan Ceremony is going to be held in the school premises at 7.30 am, for the students of class X & Xll Session 2021-2022 to seek the blessings of Maa Saraswati for their best performance in CBSE BOARD EXAMINATION which is going to commence by the end of this month. The students should come in proper school uniform.
 
APRIL 10 , 2022

The school will remain closed tomorrow, 11th April 2022 on the account of Punjab bandh call by the Federation of Private Schools and Association of Punjab.

The school will remain close on 01-03-2022 on account of Maha Shivratri.
 
 
MARCH  22 , 2022

School will remain closed tomorrow on account of Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. 

Gazetted holiday has been announced by the State Govt.
Due to declaration of gazetted holiday on 23rd March,2022 by Punjab Govt. Hindi Pre-Board Exam of class X will be postponed and it will be rescheduled  on 1st April.
 
FEBRUARY  23 , 2022
 
Offline classes for the students of class X & XII will commence from 24th February, 2022 onwards. There will be no other mode of teaching.

Timings for class X (8:55 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.)
Timings for class XII (8:55 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.)

Students  are required to follow all guidelines and SOPs related to Covid -19 given below:-

1. Wearing surgical mask is mandatory.
2. Carry personal pocket sanitizers and use it more frequently. 
3. Follow social distancing. 
4. Bring own tiffin and water bottle, sharing is not allowed. 
5. Report in proper school uniform.
6. Reach school 10 mins prior to  the school timings. 
8. Standing in groups inside and outside the school is strictly prohibited. 

Parents are also advised to get your ward vaccinated if not done yet .

 
FEBRUARY  21 , 2022
 
This is for your kind information that immediately after completion of Pre Board Examination of X & XII in all the branches, Classes will resume in Offline Mode only.Students between 15-18 years to be advised  to get themselves vaccinated. They should be instructed to follow all SOPs during offline classes.

The school will remain close on 19-02-2022 due to election booth in the school campus.

Teachers will conduct online exams from their homes.

As  per  the latest Government guidelines,  school premises will be open for offline preboard examination for the students of class X and XII from 10th Feb' 2022 ,Thursday

Timings:- 9.25 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.
Students are required to reach school 10 mins prior to  the school timings. 

Students  will be required to follow the guidelines given below:-

Registration for BVMites, for class XI, starts from 4th February, 2022.

•Forms will be available at school reception from 4th February, 2022.
•Registration process will be held from 4th to 21st February, 2022 for the new session. 
•Note the dates to deposit fee: 24th, 25th and 26th February, 2022. 
•Clear all the outstanding dues of your ward (session 2021-2022) if any, before seeking his/her admission to Class XI.
•Ensure timely admission of your ward in class XI.

From 3rd March,2022  registration will be made open for students other than BVM,depending upon the availability of seats.

Please note that whenever the Govt allows for the opening of schools only Vaccinated Students between 15 and 18 years will be allowed to attend Offline Classes (in Physical Mode) .

Timings:  9.30 AM to 2.00 PM
Registration will start at 9 AM.
Students must bring their Aadhar card and School Identity card for getting vaccinated

The 5th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, the unique interactive program of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi with students, teachers and parents will be held through online mode in  February, 2022 by adhering to the COVID-19 protocols.
 A selected 2050 students will get an opportunity to directly participate in the event. In order to select 2050 participants for the online event, an online creative writing  competition is being conducted at https://innovateindia.mygov.in/ppc-2021/ on various  topics  during 28  December  2021  to  20  January  2022 for children studying in classes of 9 to 12, teachers and parents.
