Baisakhi was celebrated with immense zest and zeal at BVM USN today.The motive behind the celebrations was to acquaint the students with their rich cultural heritage. An array of activities was organised for the students. While Saavi (Vl) apprised everyone with the importance of the festival, Ankita (IX) presented a beautiful poem on this auspicious eve. Decked in traditional Punjabi attire Bvmites showcased their Punjabi culture and danced to the dhol-beats enthralling the audience. Punjabi folk group song added more to the excitement of the celebration. Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal applauded exuberant performances of the students saying that Baisakhi is not only a harvest festival but also an auspicious day for all, as on this day Guru Gobind Singhji laid the foundation of the 'Khalsa Panth' .
