Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, USN observed Library Week from 24-4-23 to 29-04-23 with the motive to encourage the young students' understanding and love for literature, to improve spoken expression and inculcate the habit of reading. Students undertook a plethora of activities for the event. The week long celebrations kick-started with reading and enthusiastically discussing books that the students had recently read or had been moved by, in some other way. All the BVMites including faculty and helpers followed 'DEAR' (Drop everything and Read) plan and got engrossed in reading books of their choice with devotion and shared their take away with others.
Alluring works of art in the form of bookmarks by the artists of class IV fascinated and encouraged one and all. On the last day the scholars of class IX put their thinking caps on and pen their thoughts in the form of topic 'Importance of Library in the school life'. They came up with fascinating and very innovative ideas. The event proved to be a perfect amalgamation of learning and fun. Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal applauded the efforts of the students and encouraged them to make reading their habit and reminded them that books are indeed a man's best friend!
