Fun, frolic and gaiety came alive in the campus of BVM (USN) when students of Primary Section celebrated Teej- the cultural festival of Punjab. A Punjabi group song presented by young Bvmites (V) was a melodious treat to the ears where as Heena embellishing hands and Haryanvi Dance enhanced the charm and mood of the celebration. Dressed in traditional attire and adorned with beautiful ornaments, the pretty girls mesmerized everyone with Punjabi folk dance Gidda. Beautiful and smart Parineeti(V) was crowned with the title -Teeyan di Rani. Other titles Khidya Chehra , Tor Punjaban di , Fabdi Mutyar etc.were also conferred . Akshita , elucidated about the importance of the festival i.e providing happiness and respect to the women. Traditional food was also relished by one and all on the festive occasion. Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal stated that the cultural programs should be celebrated with immense zeal to keep the flame of rich culture alive for the future generations .
