BVMUSN CELEBRATES DIWALI AND CHILDRENS DAY « 11/Nov/2023



BVM USN celebrates Diwali and Childrens' Day with great devotion, ebullience and excitement 

The celebrations of Diwali the festival of lights came alive at BVM, USN when the whole school wore a festive look. To mark Diwali and Childrens' Day celebrations, exhilarating activities were organised for the Bvmites to unfold their creativity and aesthetic skills . The celebration commenced with pious rendition of the Sunderkand paath to evoke the blessings of the Almighty, hoping that the festival would bring utmost peace and prosperity in everybody's life. Meenakshi (Class VII) acquainted everyone with the history and importance of the day. The tiny tots of Shishu Vatika displayed their art and craft work in Diwali Mela.To make it a joyful day, saplings of I and II enjoyed 'No bag day'. Artistic acumen was on display as the students of  III and IV came up with dazzling designs in Diya Decoration and Greeting Card making. Students of classes VI to VIII exhibited their flair in Doha gayan and sassy hand writing competition . They showcased their sentiments while making Toran, decorating thali and other embellishments. To set the aesthetic ablaze among the students of IX  and XI,  Inter-house Rangoli making competition on the themes Digital India, G20, Save Environment was organised which added the perfect setting to the festivity. Students decorated their class display boards on the theme 'Eco-friendly Diwali ' and came up with wonderful ideas. Chahat Arora (XII Commerce) through her talk, shared her views on Childrens' Day and also about the importance of day. The whole school reverberated with energy and enthusiasm. The festival of fun and excitement came to an end with loads of joy and happiness sparkling on the faces of BVMites. 
The celebrations concluded with the address by Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal who conveyed her warm wishes to the students and reiterated to celebrate pollution free Diwali in its purest form by lighting lamps and sharing with the less fortunate. She didcouraged the students from bursting crackers and urged them to buy earthen lamps and other eco-friendly products.
