BVM , USN Celebrates Shiksha Saptah with a Week-Long Activities
BVM, USN celebrated Shiksha Saptah, a week dedicated to educational and cultural enrichment. The week-long event aimed to reflect on the transformative reforms introduced by NEP 2020 and to reinforce the commitment to advancing education nationwide.

Day 1: TEACHING LEARNING MATERIALS
The week kicked off with a focus on innovative teaching learning materials. 'Jadui Pitara' was implemented as a cornerstone of the educational approach , showcasing creative and engaging tools used in the classrooms to enhance learning.
Day 2 : FOUNDATIONAL LITERACY and NUMERACY , recognised the critical importance of FLN in the early years of education. The aim of celebrating this day was to emphasize the significance of foundation literacy and numeracy skills for children. A series of seminars for teachers and students were held, emphasizing the importance of foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
Day 3: INDIGENOUS SPORTS DAY was observed which served as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of sports and fitness, to promote indigenous games like Posham pa, Kikli , Stapoo ( langri) parallel to contemporary sports, to inculcate a sense of team spirit and discipline in the young minds and to make sports an integral part of the daily routine of the students.
Day 4: CULTURAL DAY CELEBRATION comprised a quiz contest on the theme ' Unity in Diversity' and an impressive lecture delivered by Mrs Pallavi Sharma (TGT) English emphasizing the importance of National integration and patriotism. The activities fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation among students for their rich cultural heritage.
Day 5: SKILLING DAY
Students participated in various skill-based activities, promoting practical skills and hands-on learning like pottery, bag making,clay modelling, while robotics and AI workshop highlighted the importance of technology in education.
Day 6: ECO CLUB – MISSION LIFE . In alignment with nature conservation efforts, ' Nature Conservation Day' was celebrated under the ECO Club’s theme "Mission Life." Students engaged in activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
Day 7: COMMUNITY DAY.
The week long activities concluded with Community Day, celebrated in collaboration with the NGO Hariyawal Punjab . This event highlighted the importance of community involvement and social responsibility.
Lauding this educational initiative and the active participation of Bvmites, teachers and community Principal , Mrs . Seema Gupta said, "Such activities not only enrich the learning experience of learners but also strengthen the bonds within a school community."
