In an effort to bring classroom learning to life, students of classes IX and X had a unique opportunity to witness democracy in action during their visit to the Parliament yesterday. The visit was a part of the school's ongoing commitment to providing students with experiential learning opportunities.
Accompanied by their Social Science teachers and Principal , Mrs .Seema Gupta, the students spent the day observing the legislative process, gaining invaluable insights into the functioning of the government and visiting key landmarks that play an important role in India’s political history.
The tour included a visit to the Central Hall of Parliament, where students learned about its historical significance, including landmark speeches. They also visited the Old Parliament House, where they were briefed on its role in India’s political journey since Independence.
Additionally, the students paid homage to the soldiers at India Gate , a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made in service to the nation. “These experiences are vital in shaping our students into informed and active citizens, ready to contribute positively to society,” said Principal, Mrs. Seema Gupta.
The visit provided students with a deeper understanding of the working of the Parliament, making their textbooks come alive and instilling in them a greater sense of civic responsibility.
