BVM USN Leads the Way in Promoting Cleanliness and Sustainability
during Swachhata Pakhwada 2024
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, proudly participated in Swachhata Pakhwada Abhiyan 2024, a nationwide cleanliness campaign initiated by CBSE. Throughout the fortnight-long program, students and staff engaged in activities promoting cleanliness, hygiene and environmental sustainability. The event commenced with a pledge ceremony, followed by a handwashing demonstration and a series of educational lectures. Mrs. Amarjeet, the Dispensary Incharge, delivered an insightful talk on cleanliness, while Mrs. Monica Chaudhary (PRT) addressed primary students on the significance of personal hygiene.Students showcased their creativity by participating in a poster-making competition on cleanliness and a "Best out of Waste" initiative, transforming discarded materials into useful items. A vibrant exhibition of their work was organized on the final day of the Abhiyan.
In addition, the NCC cadets led an eco-friendly plantation drive and a cleanliness campaign, focusing on tidying the school premises. The youngest BVMites from Grade 1 presented a role-play on good habits, reinforcing the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
Principal , Mrs Seema Gupta praised Swachhata Pakhwada as an excellent initiative that instills a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness and environmental awareness in young minds. She commended the dedicated efforts of both students and staff in making the Swachhata Pakhwada Abhiyan a resounding success.
