Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar, organized an insightful and interactive session on "Simple Ways of Reducing Carbon Emissions and Protecting the Environment" for students of Classes IX to XII . The event aimed to raise awareness among young minds about the significance of taking small yet impactful steps towards combating climate change and safeguarding the planet. The resource person Dr Rajesh Kumar Jalota, a renowned environmentalist and expert in sustainable practices, emphasized the urgency of reducing carbon emissions by practical and easy-to-implement strategies. He highlighted the critical role of education and awareness in fighting climate change, urging students not only to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives but also to inspire their families and communities to do the same. Sh. Parkash Chand Goyal ji, Secretary- BVM Trust , also addressed the audience, emphasizing the vital role each individual can play in achieving a sustainable future, with a special focus on the power of young students as agents of change in society.
Principal Mrs Seema Gupta expressed her gratitude to Dr. Jalota for his invaluable insights and reminded the students that even small actions, when collectively embraced, can create a significant positive impact on the environment.
