In a celebration that highlighted the significance of festivals and strengthened the sacred ties of Bhartiyan culture, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Udham Singh Nagar, joyfully observed Durga Ashtami and Dussehra. Mr Raj Kumar, TGT Sanskrit enlightened the students on the deeper meaning of these festivals. The nine forms of Goddess Durga were revered through "Kanjak Pujan" in the Shishu Vatika .The atmosphere was filled with divinity as students presented a soul-stirring bhajan, captivating the audience. This was followed by a thoughtful poem by Harshita (Class VII) and a speech by Nitika (Class VII), emphasizing the message that every form of evil can be overcome by goodness and positive actions.The tiny tots of Shishu Vatika enthusiastically participated in various activities. Nursery students made beautiful crafts, while L.K.G. students engaged in storytelling and took part in the symbolic burning of Ravana's effigy, representing the victory over negative thoughts like bitterness, anger, jealousy, and hatred. Principal Mrs Seema Gupta , in her address, urged the students to practice self-introspection and reflect on how they can add new dimensions to their lives by conquering internal conflicts, drawing inspiration from the virtues of Goddess Durga. She wished everyone a bright and safe Dussehra, reminding them to prioritize safety and environmental cleanliness during all celebrations.
