BVM USN Commemorates Veer Baal Diwas with a Heartfelt Tribute
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Udham Singh Nagar, observed Veer Baal Diwas with solemnity and reverence, honoring the supreme sacrifices of the Sahibzadas of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The day featured various activities designed to instill the values of courage, devotion and patriotism among students.
The event commenced with an inspiring address by Mrs Navneet, who eloquently highlighted the unparalleled bravery and steadfast devotion of the Sahibzadas. She urged the younger generation to embrace these virtues, encouraging them to lead lives of integrity and resilience. Adding emotional depth to the occasion, Awalpreet Kaur recited a heartfelt poem that beautifully captured the essence of sacrifice and courage, leaving a profound impact on the audience. Students of Class VII participated in an essay-writing competition, articulating their thoughts on the legacy of the Sahibzadas. Their heartfelt expressions reflected a deep understanding and admiration for the sacrifices made to uphold faith and values. Class V students took part in a storytelling session, narrating tales of bravery and devotion associated with Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his sons. This activity allowed them to connect with their rich cultural heritage and draw lessons from history. Addressing the students, Principal Mrs Seema Gupta said, “The martyrdom of Guru Ji and his family teaches us that true strength lies in standing for truth and justice, regardless of the cost. Let us draw inspiration from their sacrifice and pledge to uphold these values in our lives. May their legacy continue to guide us in building a society deep rooted in compassion, resilience and righteousness.”
