BVM (USN) celebrated the joyous occasion of Lohri with great enthusiasm and fervor. The splendid event aimed to familiarize students with their rich cultural heritage.The celebration was graced by C A Rajeev Puri Ji (Manager), Sh. Adish Bamba Ji and Er. D. D. Sharma Ji (Members, BVM Trust) . Mrs Aarti Sood (TGT) highlighted the significance of Lohri, which symbolizes the end of winter and the onset of the harvest season. The school campus was beautifully adorned with vibrant decorations, reflecting the festive spirit.
The school choir presented a mesmerizing folk song, which added to the festive ambiance captivating the audience. A traditional Lohri dance performed by Grade IV students enthralled everyone, while the creative students of Grade VI explored their skills through a kite-making activity. Additionally, Grade V students showcased their artistic talents by crafting paper bonfires. Key highlight of the celebration was the traditional bonfire. Everyone gathered around it to offer prayers, symbolizing the burning of past grievances and the welcoming of new beginnings. "Lohri is a festival that teaches us the values of gratitude, sharing and togetherness. Celebrating it at school allows our students to connect with their cultural roots and appreciate the rich traditions of our country," said Principal Mrs Seema Gupta.
