
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with a resplendent display of unity, creativity and patriotic fervour. The day brimmed with activities that echoed the spirit of freedom and honoured the nation’s glorious legacy.
The celebrations commenced with Class I students bringing tricolour-themed food, symbolizing harmony and unity. NCC cadets and Class VII students ignited patriotic passion through a spirited Chetna Rally * in the school premises. Grade IV students expressed their creativity in a poster-making competition on freedom, while Grade VI students tested their knowledge in a challenging quiz on India’s freedom struggle. Grade VIII students added colour to the occasion with a vibrant rangoli competition.A soul-stirring patriotic group song by the school choir mesmerized the audience, while artistically adorned bulletin boards celebrated the theme of liberty. Under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, students pledged to uphold respect for national symbols, with Class III students enthusiastically sharing selfies with the Tricolour . A heartfelt poem by Janvi (Class IX) filled the air with patriotic emotion.
The celebrations stood as a heartfelt tribute to India’s cultural heritage and the sacrifices of freedom fighters, leaving all present deeply inspired. Principal Mrs. Seema Gupta, in her address, urged students to remember the supreme sacrifices made by martyrs for the motherland and to commit themselves with sincerity towards the nation’s progress.
