BVM USN Hosts Capacity Building Program on the topic
"Educating Parents about Education"
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, organized a Capacity Building Program for faculty members on the theme “Educating Parents about Education.” The initiative aimed to empower educators with effective approaches to guide parents in understanding their pivotal role in a child’s learning journey.The program was graced by distinguished Resource Persons, Dr. Harpreet Kaur (Principal, Garden Valley International School, Ludhiana) and Mrs. Sunita Kumari (Principal, HVM Convent School, Ludhiana). Through an engaging and interactive session, they highlighted the significance of teacher–parent collaboration , shared practical strategies to counsel parents and emphasized the importance of nurturing a supportive home environment.
The session also covered modern pedagogical practices, value-based education and the challenges faced by students in today’s digital age. Faculty members participated with great enthusiasm, gaining valuable insights on strengthening partnerships with parents to foster the holistic growth of learners. Principal Mrs. Seema Gupta appreciated the meaningful contributions of the resource persons and reiterated, “Empowering teachers to educate parents is a key step towards building a stronger educational ecosystem.”
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the expertise of the resource persons and the enthusiastic participation of the teachers.
