Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, organized an insightful awareness seminar on the theme “Diwali Without Scars” to sensitize students about fire safety and preventive measures during the festive season.The session was conducted by Dr. Sheerin Shah, Professor, Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana . Dr. Shah inspired students to celebrate a green and safe Diwali, emphasizing the importance of taking proper precautions while lighting diyas and crackers. She also conducted a live demonstration on the use of a fire extinguisher, illustrating effective ways to manage emergency situations. Students participated enthusiastically, gaining valuable hands-on knowledge about fire safety practices. Principal Mrs. Seema Gupta extended heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sheerin Shah for her informative and engaging session. In her address, she encouraged students to celebrate Diwali responsibly — spreading the true spirit of light, joy and safety, while minimizing noise and pollution.
