Empowering Young Minds through Awareness: Seminar on “Good Touch, Bad Touch”
To nurture a sense of safety and awareness among young learners, Mrs. Simky conducted an enlightening seminar for the students of Classes I and II on the vital topic — “Good Touch, Bad Touch.” The interactive session aimed to help children understand the difference between appropriate and inappropriate touch, fostering emotional well-being and personal safety.Through engaging examples and gentle discussions, Mrs. Simky explained that good touch reflects affection, care and respect — such as a hug from parents, holding hands with friends, or a pat on the back for encouragement. In contrast, bad touch is any form of contact that makes a child feel uneasy, scared or hurt. Students were motivated to trust their feelings, speak up and approach trusted adults whenever they feel uncomfortable. Principal Mrs. Seema Gupta appreciated the initiative, emphasizing that such sessions are crucial in empowering children with essential life skills to protect themselves and cultivate healthy, respectful relationships.
