To equip Bhartiyans with essential knowledge on consumer rights & Promoting consumer awareness, BVM (USN) commemorated National Consumer Rights Day with immense zeal and zest by the Commerce Department with an objective of educating students about consumer rights, responsibilities and ethical practices in the marketplace.
The initiative is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020's emphasis on competency-based learning and 21st-century skills.
Mr. Harish(PGT) apprised the students about the importance of consumer awareness in a rapidly evolving economic environment. An informative Powerpoint Presentation presented by Shivanshi Chopra & Disha Sharma (XI Commerce) effectively highlighted the importance of awareness in safeguarding consumer interests.Siya Vasan (XI Commerce ) apprised all with Consumer Protection Rights, the significance of consumer rights, and the role of informed decision-making in everyday transactions.
An engaging quiz was conducted for class XII Commerce that witnessed an enthusiastic participation from students and helped them to assess their understanding of consumer laws, fair trade practices, and responsible consumption in an interactive manner.
Principal Mrs Seema Gupta emphasised the need for vigilance, ethical choices, and responsibility while functioning as consumers and added that National Consumer Rights Day reinforces awareness, critical thinking, and social responsibility among students.
