Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, celebrated Basant Panchami with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit. The school campus resonated with positivity, creativity and devotion as students and teachers came together to mark this auspicious occasion.The programme featured a thoughtful Student Talk by Siya Gupta (Class IV), who beautifully highlighted the significance of Basant Panchami and its role in promoting learning, wisdom and positive values among students.The celebration was further enriched by a graceful group dance performance, reflecting the vibrancy, joy and festive charm associated with the festival. As part of the creative segment, students of Classes VI, VII, and VIII, under the guidance of the Art Department, showcased their artistic talents through thematic Art and Craft activities related to Basant Panchami. Adding colour and charm to the event, Class IV students prepared attractive yellow flower masks , symbolising happiness, freshness and the arrival of spring.To enhance the festive spirit and promote togetherness, students of all classes brought yellow food, spreading joy and a sense of unity across the campus.
On this auspicious occasion, Principal Mrs. Seema Gupta in her inspiring message, stated that Basant Panchami is not only celebrated in devotion to Goddess Saraswati but is also observed in the remembrance of Shaheed Veer Hakikat Rai, who sacrificed his life at a young age for the protection of faith and values. She emphasized that the day inspires students to uphold courage, righteousness and moral strength, along with the pursuit of knowledge, creativity and discipline.
