Guardians of Health, Messengers of Awareness
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, observed National Dengue Day with a social responsibility to spread awareness among students about the prevention and control of dengue fever. The initiative aimed at educating young minds about the importance of cleanliness, mosquito control and maintaining healthy surroundings. Students were sensitized with the significance of personal hygiene and the need to prevent stagnant water accumulation in and around their homes.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Kanika (TGT English) highlighted the vital role of awareness and preventive measures in combating dengue. She remarked, “Prevention is always better than cure. By maintaining cleanliness and spreading awareness, we can protect ourselves and our community from dengue. Every small effort towards hygiene contributes towards building a healthier and safer tomorrow.” Principal Mr. Pawan Sood said
“Health and awareness go hand in hand. National Dengue Day reminds us that collective responsibility and preventive actions are essential in fighting diseases like dengue. I urge every student to adopt cleanliness as a habit and contribute towards creating a safer and healthier society.” He further encouraged students to become responsible citizens spreading awareness among family members and neighbours about keeping surroundings clean and mosquito-free.The initiative concluded with a strong message of community participation, health consciousnes and environmental responsibility, reinforcing BVM USN’s commitment towards nurturing socially aware and responsible citizens.
