Nurturing Nature: BVM USN Celebrates World Environment Day
with Creativity and Compassion
BVM USN celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm through a series of meaningful activities aimed at fostering environmental awareness and responsibility among students.The day began with an inspiring Teacher Talk by Mrs. Deepika Sehdev, who encouraged students to become “Green Warriors” and highlighted how small mindful actions can create a lasting impact on the planet. Students of Classes I to V participated in the ‘Jal Mitra Abhiyaan for Birds’ by placing earthen water bowls on their terraces to help birds during the scorching summer heat and shared photographs and videos of their thoughtful initiative.Under the guidance of their Class Incharges, Class VI students engaged in a Bird Feeder Making Activity, creatively using eco-friendly and recycled materials to support avian life in urban spaces.Class VII students showcased their awareness and expression through a Slogan Speaking Activity on conservation, biodiversity and climate action, while Class VIII students conveyed powerful environmental messages through a vibrant Poster Making Activity focusing on saving water, protecting wildlife and reducing plastic use. Appreciating the efforts of students and teachers, Principal Mr. Pawan Sood said, “World Environment Day is not just a celebration but a reminder of our responsibility towards Mother Earth. I am proud to see our students translating awareness into meaningful action. Let us nurture nature every day.” The celebration reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious and responsible citizens.
