Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, hosted a successful ten-day Combined Annual Training Camp conducted by 19 Punjab Battalion NCC from 15 to 24 June 2026."
The camp saw spirited participation from 450 NCC cadets, both girls and boys, representing various schools across the region. The objective was to instill discipline, leadership, and a deep-rooted spirit of service through rigorous military training, precision drills, weapon training, map reading, and comprehensive personality development modules.
BVM USN cadets brought laurels to the institution, with 16 girl cadets participating and securing a remarkable 13 gold medals overall . Highlights include: Dance – 7 gold medals securing first position, Tug of War – 3 gold medals, and Kho-Kho – 3 gold medals.
Principal Pawan Sood, in his message, commended the efforts of 19 Punjab Battalion NCC and PAU for the flawless execution of the camp. He remarked, "These camps are crucibles for character-building. The tenacity, teamwork, and triumph displayed by our cadets, especially the 13 gold medals won by our girls, reflect the discipline and values that will shape them into exemplary citizens and future leaders." He also congratulated Mentor Mrs. Geeta Mishra for her dedicated guidance and for inspiring the cadets to excel.
The camp concluded on 24 June with a dignified ceremonial parade followed by the prize distribution ceremony. The cadets’ exemplary conduct, competitive spirit, and outstanding achievements made the camp a resounding success and a proud moment for BVM USN.
