Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, observed World Population Day on 10th July, 2026 by organising a series of insightful and creative activities aimed at fostering awareness among students about population growth, sustainable development and social responsibility.
As part of the observance, a Slogan Writing Activity was conducted for the students of Class VI. The participants articulated their ideas through powerful slogans underscoring the importance of population control, environmental preservation and the9 creation of a healthy and prosperous society.
Students of Class VII enthusiastically took part in a Poster Making Activity , where they creatively illustrated the consequences of unchecked population growth, the balanced utilisation of natural resources and the significance of sustainable development through vibrant and thought-provoking artwork.
For the students of Class VIII, an informative video on World Population Day was screened. The presentation sensitised students to the challenges posed by rapid population growth, the need for the judicious use of resources and the vital role they play as responsible citizens. This was followed by an engaging discussion, enabling students to reflect on the importance of population awareness and sustainable living.
Addressing the students, Principal Mr. Pawan Sood remarked that World Population Day is not merely an occasion for observance, but a meaningful opportunity to introspect on our responsibilities towards society. He encouraged students to remain conscious of issues related to population, health, education and environmental conservation and to disseminate these positive messages within their families and the wider community.
