Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, once again reaffirmed its sporting excellence with a spectacular performance at the Zonal Wrestling Tournament, held on 3rd and 4th August 2026 at Sacred Soul Convent School, Dhandra, Ludhiana. Displaying exceptional strength, resilience, and unwavering determination, the young wrestlers brought immense pride to the school by securing 20 district-level selections. A contingent of 41 students represented the school across the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories for both boys and girls. Guided by the dedicated efforts of Mr. Ravi and Ms. Rachna, the students showcased outstanding technical skills, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the championship, earning widespread appreciation for their commendable performances. The students selected for the District Wrestling Championship are:
Under-14 Boys:
Parvil Sidla, Mithav Sharma and Gagandeep Bhatia.
Under-17 Boys:
Bhavya, Aadarsh, Sayan Tiwana, Harsh Sharma, Divas Harnar, Kartik Taneja and Armaan Sharma.
Under-19 Boys :Vipanpreet Sood, Dipanshu Arora, Dhruv Sharma, Naitik Sood and Krishna Sharma.
Under-14 Girls: Aaradhya and Yashika.
Under-17 Girls: Ridhima, Ananya Batra and Drishti Batra.
Principal Mr. Pawan Sood congratulated the young wrestlers on their remarkable accomplishment and lauded their perseverance, dedication, and competitive spirit. He also appreciated the wholehearted efforts of their mentors in grooming the students for success. Extending his best wishes to the district qualifiers, he expressed confidence that the students would continue to uphold the rich sporting legacy of BVM and achieve even greater milestones in the forthcoming District Wrestling Championship.
