Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar, Ludhiana, registered an impressive sporting feat at the 70th Zonal Level School Games Volleyball Tournament, with its Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 Boys’ teams, along with the Under-19 Girls’ team, delivering commendable performances at Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana.
The Under-17 Boys’ Team emerged as Zonal Champions, clinching the *First Position through exceptional teamwork, discipline and determination. The victorious squad comprised Harshit Jindal, Gurvinder Singh, Greetansh, Samarpreet Singh, Jasraj Singh, Samaksh Mittal, Krish Bhardwaj, Saksham Soni, Abhijot Singh and Adarsh Tiwari. Adding further glory to the triumph, five players earned selection for the District Level Volleyball Tournament.
Displaying equal grit and sporting prowess, the Under-14 Boys’ Team secured an impressive Second Position. Atreya, Naksh, Harnoor, Bhavishya, Yuvi Dhawan, Harshdeep Kabba, Krishna, Arnav, Virat and Veeraj showcased remarkable coordination and resilience throughout the championship. Four players from the team were selected for the District Level Tournament.
Continuing the winning streak, the Under-19 Boys’ Team also claimed the Runner-Up Position, exhibiting exemplary sportsmanship and competitive spirit. The team comprised Mukul Sood, Shivansh, Kunal Mehra, Aryan Jain, Atharv, Aryan, Talish Thor, Raghav Khanna, Utkarsh, Jitiesh and Hartik Khatri. Three players from the squad earned selection for the next level of competition.
Adding another achievement to the school’s volleyball success, the Under-19 Girls’ Team secured the Second Position in the tournament . The team comprised Sanvi, Jasleen, Mamta, Bhavya, Kiran, Harshita, Pihu, Radhika, Ishita, Suhani, Jyoti and Ananya. Demonstrating commendable teamwork, determination and competitive spirit, the players put up a strong performance throughout the tournament. Three players from the team were selected for the District Level Competition, further adding to the school’s sporting accomplishments.
With one championship title and three runner-up finishes, along with 15 players advancing to the district level, BVM USN once again demonstrated its sporting excellence and commitment to nurturing young talent.
The teams’ commendable performances were strengthened by the dedicated coaching and mentorship of Mr. Jaswinder Singh, whose consistent guidance, strategic training and motivation played a pivotal role in shaping the young players.
Congratulating the achievers, Principal Mr. Pawan Sood applauded the players, coach and parents for their remarkable accomplishments and wished the selected players success in the upcoming district-level competitions.
