Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar, celebrated Independence Day along with the Birth Anniversary of Sri Aurobindo Ji on 14th August, with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with an insightful Student Talk of Vinayak Grover (XI Humanities )highlighting the significance of Independence Day and the inspiring life and philosophy of Sri Aurobindo Ji. The celebration came alive through a vibrant array of activities including Patriotic Choreography by Class III, Tricolour Craft by Class IV, a patriotic Role Play by Class V, Slogan Writing and a Chetna Rally by Class VI and NCC cadets, a melodious Group Song by Class VII, an Essay Writing Competition for Class IX on “Digital India – The New Face of Freedom and Self-Reliance” and an energetic Group Dance by Class XI. Principal Mr. Pawan Sood appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and teachers and encouraged the students to uphold the values of freedom, unity, discipline and self-reliance while contributing positively to the nation’s progress. The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism, pride and responsibility, reminding everyone that the true essence of freedom lies in becoming responsible, empowered and self-reliant citizens.
