Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar, Ludhiana, added yet another feather to its sporting cap as its young Yogis delivered a stellar performance at the District Level Yoga Championship (SGFI) held on August 18 and 19, 2026, at B.C.M. School, Lalton Kalan, Ludhiana.
Competing with remarkable poise, precision and flexibility, U-19 Boys’ Team clinched the First Position and lifted the Overall Championship Trophy, marking a proud milestone for the school.
A contingent of 12 students across the U-14, U-17 and U-19 Boys categories represented the school under the able guidance of Mr. Sanjeev Thakur. Adding greater distinction to the triumph, Gaurav Singh Rawat (XII S2), Kismat Sharma (XII C2), Jashan Saini (XII S1) and Tejas Verma (XII C2) earned selection for the State Level Yoga Championship.

Bronze Brilliance
- Devansh Kashyap (IX) & Dev Kashyap (IX) – Bronze in Artistic Pair
- Laksh Bhardwaj (VI) – Bronze in Traditional Solo
The other participants—Divansh Yadav (IX), Veeraj Yadav (X), Devansh Bhardwaj (X), Ansh Yadav (XII S2) and Nishant Kumar (VIII)—also put forth commendable performances, displaying discipline, confidence and true sporting spirit.
Principal Mr. Pawan Sood congratulated the young achievers and their mentor Mr. Sanjeev Thakur on the remarkable accomplishment. Applauding their dedication and perseverance, he also expressed confidence that the state-level qualifiers would continue their winning momentum and bring further laurels to the institution.
