Raksha Bandhan, the festival to strengthen the bond of love between the sisters and brothers was celebrated with gusto and aplomb at B.V.M,U.S.N during the morning assembly today. Students expressed their gratitude towards selfless,valiant soldiers of Indian Army, who are away from their homes safeguarding Indian borders, by posting them hand-made lovely rakhis. The Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi enlightened the students about the real importance of this devout occasion and advised the students to tie either a sacred thread or Rakhis made in India only to refute foreign tactics. Mrs.Sunita Gupta (teacher) apprised the students with the mythological significance of Rakhi. Garima of VII-C recited a heart touching poem, ‘Pyare Pyare Bhaiya’ exhibiting her affectionate sisterly love and sublime sentiments. The school’s musical choir enthralled one and all with their scintillating song ‘Rakhi Bandhan Hai Aisa’.
