Keeping in view the upliftment of society and making its contribution towards that BVM USN today conducted an Anti tobacco and drugs awareness campaign under 3 girls Punjab Bn. In slum areas near Polytechnic College. Around 30 NCC cadets of our school along with 20 NCC cadets of Khalsa school participated with zeal and enthusiasm under the supervision of commanding officer Mr. J.S. Bali, ANO Geeta Mishra and ANO Amarjeet Kaur. Cadets talked to the people of slum areas and made them aware of deadly ill effects of the drugs, they asked them to stay away from such addictions. The cadets touched emotional aspect of the masses through their massive display of banners and hoardings depicting harmful effects of Drugs addiction. Slum dwellers appreciated the message conveyed through the campaign and took a paper pledge to avoid or discontinue such practicies. Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi highly applauded the efforts of the NCC bhartiyans and motivated others to be a part of such campaigns in future. Acknowledging the endeavor of the NCC unit she asked the students to be role model in the path of nation building.
