Year 2018 gave Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Group of Schools a golden opportunity to celebrate its fabulous five decades with zeal and zest. BVM has always provided the tender hearts a canvas to paint a sparkling rainbow to explore their capabilities yet remain attached to their roots. On the last day of weeklong celebrations old relationships were cherished, celebrated and refreshed remembering good old time and unforgettable memories of the ex students and faculty members with new anticipation during the Alumni Meet at BVM, USN. The gala event commenced with lamp lightning ceremony by Sh. O. P. Sabharwal Ji (President), Sh. Phool Chand Jain Ji (Vice President), Sh. P. C. Goyal Ji (Secretary), Sh. Manoj Gupta Ji (Joint Secretary), Sh. M. M. Vyas Ji (Manager), Sh. Shubh Karan Jain Ji (Member), Sh. R. K. Behal Ji (Member), Sh. K.C. Maini Ji (Member) and Principals of all branches followed by Saraswati Vandana by alumni teachers. They also presented a melodious swagat geet evoking blessings of the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. Appearance of Sh.Ashok Setia Ji, the renowned and most revered ex-principal overwhelmed everyone. He and his betterhalf were felicitated by Sh. O.P. Sabharwal Ji (President) and Sh. Phool Chand Jain Ji (Vice President).The events sailed ahead with mesmerizing performances. Sufi song prepared under the guidance of Mrs. Shakuntala (retired Music teacher) enthralled the audience. Meticulous footsteps of Jiya Saigal made everyone applaud through her semi classical dance performance ‘Kaahe Chhed Chhed Mohe’. Dr Arvind Gujral, finalist of Indian Idol season 5 and International bollywood singer captivated the audience with his endearing and magnificent medley of stunning tunes. Solo dance performance by ‘Bharti chakra chakra Jaave’ made everyone proud of our rich Punjabi culture and heritage. Group dance by Pushkar and his team left everyone spellbound. Dr Raman Mittal and Sahil Nagpal respectively won the hearts of the spectators by their sensational singing. Alumni expressed their gratitude and emotions for their alma mater through their valuable words. A colourful calendar displaying pictures of plethora of activities held throughout the year was also presented to the alumni. Gorgeous Gidda Queens and bodacious Bhangra Boys in their chequered Punjabi attires set the stage ablaze with their energetic dance performance. The event culminated with the national song Vande Mataram followed by interactive session and sumptuous lunch.
