Initiating to bring young citizens closer to understand the rituals of each festival and create a strong bond of humanity, BVM (USN) celebrated Lohri, Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Swami Vivekanand ji with lot of exuberance and fanfare. Marking with the commencement of festivity a special morning assembly was organized. The whole school was decorated with colorful kites.
The musical Choir of the school paid a tribute to Swami Vivekanand ji by presenting a song ‘Vivekanand Ki Amar Kahani’. Mrs Sheetal Dutta (Maths Educator) acquainted the youth with the great personality of Swami Ji and his teachings. She also urged students to instill the feeling of Patriotism. Mrs. Urmil Kalia (Hindi teacher) delivered a speech wherein she discussed about the importance of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. She enthralled everyone by narrating the tale regarding Lohri celebration. All the Bhartiyans seemed to absorb in the festive spirit.
Community langar was served after the recitation of ‘Ardaas’ for the whole humanity. Enchanting of the Shabad ‘Waho Waho Gobind Singh Aape Gur Chela’ filled the essence of naamras in the entire sangat. The students were fascinated to learn how Guru Ji acquainted the stature of both saint and soldier. The musical notes of ‘Satnam Waheguru’ created a divine ambience in the school premises.
Shri M.M. Bamba ji (Treasurer) and Sri K.C. Maini Ji (Member) also joined the students with the hope that the coming year would bring gaiety in the lives of all Bvmites.
Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi emphasized that such festivals promote us to be thankful to God’s provision. She further encouraged the students to be true and to do good to others.
