Basant Panchami marks the onset of spring and it is dedicated to Maa Saraswati-the Goddess of knowledge. The day was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm at BVM (USN). Yellow colour symbol of spiritual knowledge was the colour of the day. The Tiny Tots of primary wing attired in vibrant yellow shades fluttered in merriment. The whole campus wore a festive look adorned with sunny handmade flowers. A special assembly was organised for the students of primary classes. Sh. M.M. Bamba Ji (Treasurer BVM Trust) graced the event with his blissful presence. He blessed the students to shine and dazzle with lively colours of basant and wished Goddess Saraswati shower her wisdom upon them. Mrs Sunita khera (PRT) and Mrs Satwinder Kaur (PRT) apprised the students with the importance of the festival of glee and brightness. Mantra and Tanmay of class V recited beautiful poems ‘Ruttan Di Rani – Basant’ and ‘Meri Patang’ respectively. Garima a student of class VIII acquainted everyone with a significance of his pious occasion. A mesmerizing group song ‘Veena ke swar de…….’ reverberated the whole campus. The students of class IX – XII offered flowers at feet of goddess, seeking her blessings for their bright future.
Blessing the students Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi motivated the students to follow their parents and teachers who are the embodiment of goddess Saraswati. She also inspired them to make their motherland a prospering nation with their positive contributions.
