Carrom helps in increasing the logical reasoning power in children, giving them an opportunity to practice skills like counting reasoning, visual perception and coordination between hand and eye. To develop this expertise an inter house Carrom competition was held at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar today. BVMites always stay at the front for such healthy competitions. The BVMites participated enthusiastically in carom matches and showcased their techniques in flickering the strikers. There was a fierce competition among all the participants from the four houses namely Swami Vivekanand House, Sri Aurbindo House, Bhagat Singh House, Lokmanya Tilak House. However after really close and nail biting finishes, Vipin (under 19 category) Udayveer (under 14 category) Vedansh (under 17 category) from Bhagat Singh house grabbed first second and third position respectively. While Gunjan (under 14 category) from Swami Vivekananda clinched first position, Shivani (under 17) and Navraj (under 19) from Bhagat Singh house managed second and third position respectively. Bhagat Singh house lifted the trophy of overall winner. Avinash (III-D) won a huge applause for his sincerity towards the game. Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi congratulated the winners and applauded the sincere efforts of Mrs. Geeta Mishra and the whole physical department under whose supervision competitions were organized.
