‘Dia’- crowned as Miss Teej at BVM, USN
The jovial festival of ‘Teej’ was celebrated with zeal and zest at BVM, USN.  The President of BVM Trust Sh. Manmohan Bamba Ji and the Manager BVM, USN Sh. Kailash Chandra Maini Ji graced the occasion with their benign presence. On the occasion tiny tots of primary wing were seen in vibrant traditional attires enhancing the charm and mood of celebrations. An array of activities were conducted which filled the whole environment with glee and joviality. The celebration commenced with the scintillating performance on the folk song ‘Tappe’ by the students of class-IV. Mrs. Veena (PRT Social Science) emphasized that this festival celebrates the arrival of monsoon with gleeful social activities, rituals and customs. Madhav and Geetika (class IV) enthralled one and all with their mesmerizing poems focusing this auspicious festival. An informative PPT ‘Ek Jhalak’ acquainted the Bhartiyans with their rich Punjabi culture and Heritage which encompasses the regional cuisines, tradition, heritage, values and spirituality. A role-play ‘Punjabi Sabyachaar’, was a strong reflection of Punjabi culture which motivated the youngsters to preserve their rich culture and foster a sense of belongingness among themselves. The gorgeous mutiyaars of IV tapped their feet to the tunes of Teej songs. Delightful and sumptuous feast of kheer and malpuras added the sweetness to the celebration. The girls enjoyed tremendously and had great fun on saawan swings. In Inter house Punjabi Folk dance competition, Aurbindo house grabbed the 1st position. A perfect ambience was created when the mutiyaars of class IX and XI filled the air with their enthusiastic Giddha performance. 
Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi said that such celebrations not only channelize students in a positive direction but also connect them with their traditional roots. She blessed the students to blossom at their best and preserve their rich cultural heritage.
