BVM USN CELEBRATES TAGORE JAYANTI & RED CROSS DAY « 08/May/2021

Celebrating birth anniversary of polymath Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, BVM USN organised many cultural activities virtually. Simran (VIII), through his magnificent verse, eulogized Guruji as a prolific writer and cultural icon, with his literary works ranging from poetry and songs to short stories and plays.Mrs Chander Prabha (TGT Hindi) told that he was the first Non European to win the Nobel prize in literature for his selected poetic Collection  titled GITANJALI and the only person who has composed the NATIONAL ANTHEMS for two countries- India  & Bangladesh and deeply influenced the words and music of a third one, the Lankan national anthem. Through posters, witty scholars of class Vll and Vlll exhibited the achievements of the renowned literary scholar ,poet ,musician and artist.
In addition to the above celebration, BVMites also commemorated RED CROSS DAY virtually through their creative writings, illustrating the emergence of the INTERNATIONAL CROSS and RED CROSS CRESCENT MOVEMENT. Suraj (Xl S2) made a powerpoint presentation highlighting the Fundamental Principles of Red Cross : Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality  IRRESPECTIVE OF NATIONALITY . Khushpreet Kaur ( Xll S1) projected on the importance of this day through her enlightening speech.
 Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal exhorted that we should get inspired and ignited by the life of renowned  poetic legend ,who gave the message : We can't cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.
