PLASTIC - A MENACE TO THE ENVIRONMENT
Addressing the menace of unmanaged plastic waste, BVM USN today, observed the day saying NO TO SINGLE-USE PLASTIC.Through a powerpoint presentation, Bvmites ( XI & Xll) awared everyone that daily usage essential items made of plastic like bags, containers, cutlery with takeaway food, soda, water bottles, straws etc. used for a single time and then thrown away in garbage, must be banned as these pose a gigantic threat to the environment of our planet. Adding to this, Mrs Pretty (PRT) stated that this type of plastic remains buried in the soil and waterbeds for hundreds of years, releasing toxic chemicals and hence deteriorating the entire ecosystem . Mrs Sunita Khera (PRT) administered the pledge ,in the assembly, to avoid the single-use plastic objects as they are polluting the flora and fauna and endangering life. Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal articulated that it is high time to become cognizant of this big threat and everyone should contribute a little to improve the health of the planet by shunning the use of plastic .
