The harvest festival of Punjab, Lohri was celebrated with exuberance and joy at BVM USN. An array of activities was organized to make the Bhartiyans aware of our rich culture. While the toddlers of Shishu Vatika enjoyed Lohri feast with their families , students of Class I to IV put their artistic acumen on display and came up with dazzling designs in 'Kite making, Card making and Thali decoration' activities. Students of class V had a gala time with family, singing melodious songs, which were shared in the class groups. Soaked in the spirit of festivity students of VII and VIII created Lohri scene in the form of tableaux. Bodacious Bhartiyans of IX and X well depicted the significance of Punjab's culture and it’s rich heritage by preparing PPTs. Jiya of class IX delved on the importance and reasons behind celebrating Lohri. She added that this festival ushers in the cheerful spring season bidding adieu to the dull winter.
Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal extended her best wishes to the entire BVM family on this auspicious occasion and exhorted students to keep alive the tradition of rich culture.
