Baisakhi , the festival of harvest, was celebrated with great fervour and gaiety at BVM USN. A number of activities were organised to make the young ones enthusiastic about the festival. Little munchkins of Shishu Vatika decked up in traditional regional attire kept the festive spirit alive through a chirpy folk dance. Passionate Bvmites paid their obeisance to the Khalsa Panth through Shabad Gayaan. The melodious song 'Khushian da din aaya' by Ishamdeep and Harnoor left everyone spellbound. The children acknowledged the hard work of farmers who feed all, by expressing their gratitude through a role play. Ingenious Bvmites reminded everyone of the supreme sacrifices made at Jallianwala Bagh through a short enactment. Giddha and bhangra accompanied by the beats of dhol brought vibrancy and cheerfulness to the environment. Mrs. Satwinder Kaur (PRT) threw light on the Khalsa Panth Saajna and Baisakhi. Extending her greetings Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal said may the festival of Baisakhi bring peace and happiness to all.
