BVM,USN observed Red Cross day to acknowledge the efforts of several millions of volunteers, workforce and associates worldwide ,who care for human life and well-being. The students were imparted information on this special day about the reason why it is celebrated worldwide. Remembering Henry Dunant , the great founder of the Red Cross, Mrs Harjinder (PPRT) apprised everyone how Henry was so much disturbed by the condition of the wounded soldiers in war that he formed the Red Cross organization to serve the suffering humanity. Through various campaigns, run by this organization, thousands of lives have been saved from terrible diseases around the world till date.The fundamental principles of Red Cross are HUMANITY, IMPARTIALITY, NEUTRALITY, VOLUNTARY SERVICE and UNITY. On this day Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal acknowledged the selfless efforts of many people during Corona pandemic . Referring to the services and assistance provided by Red Cross, she asked the students to draw inspiration from the institution and always be ready to protect human life which is priceless.
