BVM ,Udham Singh Nagar, got the opportunity to host LSSC (Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex) Yoga Competition today. The event commenced with the lightening of ceremonial lamp by Shri K C Maini ji (President BVM Trust) and the revered guests of the day. It was followed by rendition of Saraswati Vandana by the school music choir. The panel of the judges included Yoga experts- Ms.Kritika Kumar, Ms.Priya Rawat, Mr.Pradeep Nautiyal and Mr. Sanjeev Tyagi. As many as 23 teams from the various reputed schools of the city participated in U-I7 Boys & Girls category and performed strenuous yogic asanas. In Boys category BVM , USN grabbed first position by displaying exceptional physical as well mental strength and agility while BCM Sec 32 and BCM Basant City clinched second and third prize respectively. In Girls category, displaying their exemplary yogic skills BCM Sec 32 , BVM Kitchlu Nagar and Police DAV Public School bagged the top three positions respectively. Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal and worthy guests congratulated the winners and embellished them with trophies and certificates. The Principal appreciated all the participants and encouraged them to gain the benefits of an overall healthy lifestyle by practising yoga regularly.
