The harvest festival of Punjab, Lohri was celebrated with a lot of exuberance and joy at BVM USN. An array of virtual activities was organised during this winter break to make the Bvmites aware of the rich cultural heritage. While the cuties of class 1st created 3D Lohri bonfire , students of Class II and III put their artistic acumen on display and came up with dazzling designs in craft making , Poster making and other decor activities. Students of class V had a gala time with family, reciting beautiful poems which were shared in the class groups. Soaking in the spirit of festivity students of class VI, indulged themselves in kite making. Amrit Sharma of class VIII dwelled on the importance and reasons behind celebrating Lohri. She added that this festival ushers in the cheerful spring season bidding adieu to the dull winter. Students of class VIII adorned themselves in traditional Punjabi outfit and tapped their feet on typical Punjabi beats signifying the rich glory of Punjabi culture. Principal Mrs Ranju Mangal extended her best wishes to the entire BVM family on this auspicious occasion and exhorted students to keep alive their rich tradition and culture.
