As a part of a countrywide drive initiated by our government to apprise the masses about the vital need of the filing the tax return,refund in taxes and complaints regarding the tax payment. An interactive session was organized in BVM(USN) to create awareness among the students. The resource person for same was Sh. A.N. Misra (Add. Commissioner Income Tax, Jalandhar). Sh P.C.Goyal ji (Member, BVM Trust) and Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi ji were also present there .Mr. A.N.Misra ji awared the students about the importance of payment of Income Tax. He said,”tax evasion is a hinderance in the development of country .One of the most significant contribution towards development of the nation, we can make is “paying our taxes regularly and honestly”. A pledge was also taken by one and all to pay tax and aware others also about the importance of paying tax to uplift the Indian Economy. It was followed by the “planting of sapling ‘Tax Tree’ – Neem tree symbolizing purity” by the renowned guest Sh. A.N. Misra ji accompanied by Sh. P.C.Goyal ji, Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi ji and the students raised the slogan of ‘Swatch Bharat and Swatch Dhan.
