BVMites of USN commemorated the birthday of India’s missile man and the 11th President of the country, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam on a grand note. A special assembly was conducted. To pay tribute to the Rocket scientist. Students (Gokul and Daksh of class VII) enthusiastically prepared rockets on their own & exhibited in the assembly. Slogan writing activity was also organized for the classes VI-VIII in which students vented out their innovative thoughts in the form of slogans. Dhawani of class IX-A paid tribute to the great visionary by presenting her views in the form of a poem, which highlighted the life of the former President of India. Mr. Garry (Chemistry teacher) enlightened the students about his humle but action packed journey from a newspaper boy to a scientist. He added that his life is a lesson for all to emulate. The Vice Principal Mrs.Navita Seth motivated and praised the budding innovators for their efforts and said that Dr. Kalam was truly a youth icon and he was truly a ‘people’s president’ and the ‘man of the masses’. She encouraged students to follow his footsteps.
