​Budding BVM Champs rock Primary Sports Meet 2018 « 10/Feb/2018

‘Apart from education you need, good health and for that you need to play sports, a metaphor for overcoming obstacles and achieving against great odds. ’
BVM, USN today organized the Annual Sports Meet-2018 (Primary Wing) in the premises for the classes I& II. The BVM dignitaries Sh. M.M.Vyas ji (Secretary), Sh. R.K.Behal ji (Joint Secretary), Sh. M.M. Bamba ji (Treasurer), Sh. K.C.Maini ji (Member, BVM Trust), Mrs. Neeta Sawhney (Retired Science coordinator) blessed the students with their auspicious blessings on the fateful day. The Secretary of BVN Trust, Sh. Madan Mohan Vyas ji declared the ‘Sports Meet- 2018 Open’. Esteemed members of the Trust, the Principal & Vice Principal released tricolor balloons in the azure sky imparting the message of peace & harmony and received the march past honours from zealous tiny tots.
Sh. Vyas ji welcomed the parents and appreciated them for sparing their precious time to grace the event. He applauded their continuous and invaluable support to the institution and also expected the same kind of acknowledgements in the future too.
Both, State Handball Champion, Akshay and Mohit (class X), lit the holy flame and administered the sports oath. The athletes pledged to hold integrity in all the sports events. It was followed by track and field events.
Highlighting the splendid achievements of energetic Bhartiyans at State as well as National Level, the Physical Educationinstructor, Mr. Baljeet Singh Gill, presented the Annual Sports Report for the session 2017-18.
In her address, the Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi emphasized the importance of sports. She said, ‘The world is a great gymnasium where we come to make ourselves strong. Sports help to build one’s self esteem and self confidence and develop an accomplished personality’. She motivated the students to participate whole heartedly in the sports events throughout the year. She also emphasized the balanced coordination of parents and teachers so that the tender caterpillars can stretch out their wings into dazzling butterflies.
 It was a day packed with energy, enthusiasm and excitement for the sports stars.
The spectacular mass PT entertaining, Fan Drill by cutie pies of IIA and II B, Tricolour Drill by II C and II D. Clown Drill by I A and I B, Stick Drill by I C and I D were the striking attractions of the mega event.
A soulful tribute to Guru ji ‘Chahiye Aashish Maadhav’ sung by humming birds mesmerized one and all. Enthusiastic Yoga performance by little ones sent out the message ‘Karo Yog Raho Nirog’.
The sports events included 200 mtr Flat  Race (Boys & Girls of class II), 100 mtr Flat Race (Boys & Girls of class I), Commando Race by boys of class II, Cloth Peg Race (Girls of class II), Rabbit Race (Boys of class I) and the Fairy Race (Girls of class I).
Then came the scintillating moment of the day, honouring of the winners with Gold, Silver & Bronze medals and Certificates for their neck to neck competition.
The vote of thanks was presented by Mrs. Manisha Madaan (coordinator Primary wing cum Activity In-charge).  She thanked proud grandparents and parents for sparing their precious moments for their kids. Mrs. Nishu Marwaha (co-ordinator, Primary wing) also congratulated all the winners and participants and declared the sports meet closed. Mrs. Bandana Seth (Principal) applauded sternous efforts of Mr. Baljeet Singh Gill, Mr. Sanjeev Thakur, Mrs. Gita, Ms. Rachna Bala and Mr. Sukhwinder Singh (Physical Education Department) and the entire faculty for their sincere efforts put in by them to make the meet a grand success. The event culminated with Vande Mataram.
